NOTICE
120 Volt - 60 Hz GRD, 3-wire.
24VAC thermostat connection.
Starting current 1.5 amps.
Running current 1.1 amps.
The QTS Series comes standard with internal isolation relays. 24 VAC must be supplied to each heater’s
yellow control cord. The burner control box is equipped with a six (6) foot yellow 24V control wire. Do not
supply 120V to the 24V connection.
NOTE: Heater also comes with a DPDT Switch to allow for alternate operation of unit. (Located inside
Service Access Panel). The alternate operation of the unit allows the internal transformer to send out
power for a thermostatic connection. (No external transformer necessary). When this configuration is
selected, the heater will supply 24VAC out on the green control wire.
When heater is set up for the alternate operation, DO NOT supply an external supply of 24 volts. Damage
could result to the Dual Pole Isolation Relay.
This configuration can only be utilized on a ‘single heater to thermostat’ type operation. For further
information, see figure 3.21, Alternate field wiring diagram for Single unit operation with a 24VAC control.
The 120V supply connection is factory wired with a three-prong pig tail.
Refer to Field Wiring Diagram (see Figure 3.20).
