Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service or maintenance can cause

instructions thoroughly before installing or servicing this equipment.

This heater must be installed and serviced by trained gas installation and service

personnel on ly. Failure to comply co uld result in perso nal injury, asphyx iation,

death, ﬁre or pro perty damage.

Do not store or use g asoline or other ﬂa mmable vapors an d liquids in the vic inity of

this or any other ap pliance.

In locations used for the storage of combustible materials, signs must be posted to

specify the maximum permissible stacking height to maintain the required

clearances from the heater to the combustibles. Signs must either be posted

adjacent to the h eater thermostat s or in the absence of s uch thermostat s, in a

conspicuous location.

Not for residential use! Do not use this heat er in the home, sleep ing quarters,

attached gar ages, etc. Instal lation of a commerc ial tube heater syste m in

residential

indoor spaces may resu lt in property d amage, serious inj ury, asphyxiatio n or death.

The QTD Series Inf rared Tube Heater is a negat ive pressure, two- stage radiant heat er system. This

manual provid es speciﬁc infor mation related to th e QTD Series model. Al l persons involved wi th the

installation, operation and maintenance of the heater system must read and understand the

information in this manual.

For Your Safety

If you smell gas :

• Do not try to li ght any appliance. • Immediately cal l your gas supplier f rom a neighbor’s ph one.

• Do not touch any e lectrical swi tch. • Follow the ga s supplier’s inst ructions.

• Do not use any pho ne in your building . • If you cannot re ach your gas suppli er, call the ﬁre

department.
